Role Overview

The Senior ServiceNow Techno-Functional Consultant serves as both a technical leader and strategic advisor, responsible for delivering scalable, best-practice-driven ServiceNow solutions. This role requires independent ownership of client engagements, combining deep platform expertise with strong business process consulting. 

Key Responsibilities

Stakeholder Engagement & Requirement Leadership
Lead stakeholder discussions to gather, refine, and define business and technical requirements
Translate requirements into user stories, solution designs, acceptance criteria, and test plans
Solution Design & Platform Leadership
Architect and implement enterprise-scale ServiceNow solutions across modules including ITSM, HRSD, ITAM, GRC, and Finance & Supply Chain
Drive decisions on configuration vs. customization, ensuring scalable and upgrade-safe implementations
Align solutions with ServiceNow best practices, CSDM, and enterprise architecture standards
Workshops & Consulting Leadership
Lead client workshops, discovery sessions, and process design engagements
Conduct gap analysis and define optimized future-state processes
Act as a trusted advisor, guiding clients on platform capabilities and ROI-driven decisions
End-to-End Delivery Ownership
Own full lifecycle delivery including configuration, development, testing, deployment, and post-go-live optimization
Lead UAT, go-live readiness, and hyper-care phases with accountability for outcomes
Drive issue resolution, enhancements, and continuous platform improvements
Integration & Data Strategy
Design and implement integrations with enterprise systems (ERP, HRIS, CMDB, etc.) using APIs and middleware
Oversee data migration, transformation, and integrity across systems
Governance & Platform Excellence
Enforce platform governance, coding standards, and ITIL-aligned processes
Ensure CMDB accuracy, workflow efficiency, and system performance
Promote configuration over customization to optimize long-term maintainability and ROI
Client Advisory & Relationship Management
Serve as a senior client-facing consultant, managing stakeholder expectations and driving solution alignment
Provide ongoing advisory support to improve processes, adoption, and platform value
Act as a Client Outcomes Advisor, ensuring measurable business impact
Documentation & Knowledge Transfer
Own creation of high-quality documentation including BRDs, design specs, and user guides
Deliver training sessions for business users and administrators
Develop reusable assets and frameworks for long-term value

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience
Minimum 9+ years of ServiceNow implementation and consulting experience
Proven experience in full lifecycle ServiceNow projects
Strong background in client-facing consulting roles

Certifications
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) – required
Certified Implementation Specialist (ITSM, HRSD, ITAM, etc.) – preferred

Technical Expertise
Strong experience across ServiceNow modules (ITSM, HRSD, ITAM, GRC, etc.)
Advanced knowledge of JavaScript, ServiceNow scripting, APIs (REST/SOAP), and integrations
Experience with CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping preferred
Functional & Consulting Skills
Strong understanding of business process mapping, workflow optimization, and ITIL
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and consulting skills
Proven ability to lead workshops and engage senior stakeholders
Delivery & Methodology
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Ability to independently drive delivery across multiple phases
